Alliance Work – Tableland Regional Council

This project consisted of mill out and replace of damaged sections, in-situ stabilisation and, apron and headwall concrete construction. Minor pavement repairs were undertaken to a number of roads throughout Atherton and Herberton.

Extra consideration was implemented in completing this project due to the level of moisture on site as the adjacent area around the site was all swamp.


Alliance Work – Tableland Regional Council

Upgrade of 4km section of the Kennedy Highway at Pearson's Gully outside of Ravenshoe.

The job included all drainage and pipe works, 200mm overlay of 2.1 gravel and insitu stabilization to 300mm.

The job was completed on time and under budget with Main Roads being extremely pleased with the works. Robinson Civil Constructions FNQ Pty Ltd supplied all plant and equipment operators, field supervision and some labour.

This project consisted of works through RoadTek to restore the Peninsula Development Road after 2 cyclones and monsoonal rain saturated the area. Restoration of unsealed surfaces and re-sheeting works were required with a 150mm layer of gravel on various sections of the road from Coen south to Lukin River, a distance of approximately 40km.   Works were carried out too certain constraints with traffic being a major factor as the road was heavily utilised once reopened to the public after the wet season.

Due to the works completed to a high standard, Robinson Civil Group is called on yearly to help assist in the reopening of the Peninsular Development Road reaching RoadTek’s milestone of 4km per day.

A 1.5km section of bitumen on Ootan Road was completed including all earthworks, drainage and 200mm of 2.1 base materials and a 2 coat seal.

Robinson Civil Construction FNQ Pty Ltd (RCC FNQ) supplied all machinery, supervision and labour to complete the job.

The Sandy Tate, Anna Branch causeway was also completed in conjunction with Ootan Road and was completed by RCC FNQ's contract concreting crew – Concrete Earth.
